Ni has 15 years of working experience with PWC London, the United Nations Development Programme, the International Finance Corporation, and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and has been involved in the work of a number of international cooperation projects. She is now the Senior Adviser of the World Wide Fund for Nature. She has rich experience with development and finance projects, especially the development, design and management of international development programmes. Her expertise includes sustainable development, micro-finance, energy efficiency investment and finance, green financial policy research and practice, ecosystem management and evaluation and corporate social responsibility. As the first person in mainland China to have installed in her house a CIGC cell distributed generation power plant, she has also devoted herself to promoting the household application of new energies and a green style of living.
