Adeline Lescanne-Gautier was born on July 12,1978 in Rouen (Normandy).
An engineer by training (International School of Advanced Studies in Agro-development, ISTOM, Paris), she also holds a Master's degree in Sociology applied to Rural Development from the University of Wageningen in the Netherlands.
In 2004, she joined Nutriset, a company created by her father Michel Lescanne 30 years ago. Nutriset is a world leader in research, development and manufacturing of nutritional solutions specific to the treatment and prevention of malnutrition among children, pregnant women and nursing mothers in the South. Each year, Nutriset's products are used to re-nourish nearly 6 million children.
One year after her arrival in 2005, Adeline Lescanne started developing PlumpyField, a network of industrial partners located in programmatic countries to support the nutritional autonomy of Southern countries. Now established in nine countries in Africa, Asia and the Americas, the network's members are improving access to ready-to-use food through a system of local and sustainable production.
In 2007, Adeline Lescanne became Deputy Managing Director of Nutriset and managed the Commercial and Logistics Operations departments, as well as the PlumpyField network. In 2012 she was appointed Managing Director of the company.
