- Mr. Dominique R. Jolly is Professor at SKEMA Business School (Sophia-Antipolis, France), Visiting Professor at CEIBS (Shanghai, China).
He is currently Associate Dean for International Development for the school. He was previously Dean of the Faculty for the Sophia Campus after being Associate Dean for the “Entrepreneurship, Technology and Innovation” group. He teaches in undergraduate, postgraduate and post-experience programs. His core teaching relates to “Business Strategy”. He has also developed three other courses: “Management of Inter-firm Alliances”, “Technology and Innovation Management” and “Doing Business in China”. He is the author of several case studies and a computerized business game. He was previously Head of Research at Grenoble École de Management.
He is a regular speaker at company programs and a guest lecturer in several French and international business and engineering schools. He has taught as Visiting Professor in several countries including: the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Denmark, China, Mexico, Indonesia, Serbia, Czech Republic, Turkey, Iran, Moldova, Senegal and Mali. He spent 1993-94 as a Visiting Professor at the École des H.É.C. in Montréal (Québec).
In the field of strategy, his research on inter-firm alliances has contributed to the definition, the classification (endogamies versus exogamies), and the implementation of cooperative moves. This stream of research has been published in the “Journal of Business Strategy”, the “European Management Journal”, the “European Business Forum”, and the “Journal of Knowledge Management”. His recent research about the management of Sino-foreign joint ventures have been published in the “Asia Pacific Business Review”, the “Asia Pacific Journal of Management”, the “Journal of Technology Management in China”, and “Innovation: management, policy & practice”. He has also written extensively about technology sourcing, technology assessment and competitive uses of technology in enterprises; these works appeared in the “R&D Management Journal”, “Technovation”, the “International Journal of Technology Management”, the “International Journal of Technology Marketing”, the “International Journal of Human Resources Development and Management”, and “Management Decision”. He also published articles in French-speaking journals including: “Revue Française de Gestion”, “Gestion 2000”, “Gestion - Revue Internationale de Gestion”, and “Problèmes Economiques”. He has also published in professional journals such as “Direction & Gestion des Entreprises” or “L'Expansion Management Review.”
He is area Editor for “Technovation”, European Regional Editor for the “Journal of Technology Management in China” and for the “Journal of Technoentrepreneurship”, and Associate Editor for the “International Journal of Technology Marketing” and the “International Journal of Human Resources Development and Management”. He is a member of the Editorial Review Board for the “Asia Pacific Journal of Management”. He is a member of the executive council of the International Association for the Management of Technology (IAMOT), a founding member of the International Association for Chinese Management Research (IACMR), a member of the European Academy of Management (EURAM) and the Academy of Management (AOM).
