- A engineer by training (Ecole Polytechnique and Ponts ParisTech), Guillaume Sarlat also graduated from Ecole nationale d'administration (ENA) before becoming inspecteur des finances, a top position in the French Ministry of Finance. As such, he was in charge of reporting for the High Council on the Future of Health Insurance (2003-2004) and for the Commission on Public Debt (2005).
In 2006, he became a director in the Equity Capital Market Department of SocGen, before joining BNP PariBas as the Secretary of the Executive Committee in 2009.
In 2011 he was recruited as an advisor for strategy, prospective and development to France’s Minister of Agriculture, Bruno Le Maire. In January 2013 he became M&A managing director at Perella Weinberg Partners (London). In January 2015 he created his own consulting firm, based in London, Sarlat Advisory.
Guillaume Sarlat is the author of various articles and he has published one book, Pour en finir avec le libéralisme à la française (April 2015).
