Zhen HUANG is now the Vice-President of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Chinese Dean of ParisTech SJTU Elite Institute of Technology.
Prof. Huang obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from the Mechanical Engineering Department of SJTU in 1982 and doctoral degree in 1988. Prof. Huang has been doing research in the fields of combustion and drainage control, oil alternative and new energy automobile, and air pollution control for many years. He has been in charge of a number of programs in the National “973 project”, the National Natural Science Foundation projects, National Research Projects and Shanghai Key Scientific Research Projects, winning one first prize and two second prizes of provincial and ministerial sci-tech awards. In 1998, he was awarded the Government’s Special Subsidy for National Experts; in 1999, he was appointed Accredited Professor of the Ministry’s Cheung Kong Scholars Program; and in 2000, he obtained funding by the National Accomplished Young Scientists Foundation and was selected into the first and second layers of the national Millions-of-high-Caliber-People Project.
