- Dr. Jean-Paul Larçon is Emeritus Professor of Strategy at HEC Paris. He is the co-founder of CEMS Global Alliance in Management Education and a member of the academic advisory board of Louvain School of Management (Belgium), NHH Norwegian School of Economics (Norway), and ShanghaiTech School of Entrepreneurship (China). He is the co-chair of Baltic Management Institute (BMI) and a senior researcher at the Institute for Global Industry 4.5 of Tsinghua University. He was a visiting professor in leading business schools in Brazil FGV Sao Paulo, Russia GSOM St Petersburg, India IIM Bangalore, and China Tsinghua SEM.
His main current research areas are in Chinese firms’ internationalization process and emerging market multinationals.
He is the author of several articles and books such as "Entrepreneurship and Economic Transition in Central Europe" (1998) and “Chinese Multinationals” - foreword by Liu Chuanzi (2008).
He is the editor of: “The New Silk Road: China Meets Europe in the Baltic Sea Region - A Business Perspective” - foreword by Pascal Lamy (June 2017).
